Exploring tough topics can be easier with friendly faces in the room. Groups offer clients space to both support and learn from their peers.

Adolescent & Young Adult Body Image Groups

  • Ages 16-23: This group is for young adults experiencing some of life’s most stressful transitions - going to college, developing newfound independence and autonomy, and starting a career. We offer a brave and supportive place to explore how to care for your body and assume responsibility for your health in a balanced way as you navigate life’s changes. We will also talk about appearance expectations, rapidly changing trends and the effects of social media on body image and self-perception.

  • Ages 12-15: This community support group will help young people navigate body image, body changes, and the appearance expectations they face during these highly impressionable years! We will create a safe space for adolescents to explore how social media, rapidly changing trends, and our virtual world impacts their own body image and view of themselves.

Virtual Meal Support Group

Have you noticed increased anxiety at meals?  Is there growing temptation to skip or “work through” meals?  Have your portions morphed significantly?  Is it getting harder to strive for food variety or add “fun” foods to your meals?  If any of these ring true for you, you may benefit from a weekly Meal Support Group.  This small group will be a form of accountability for those struggling to create space for meal times and will feature:

    • Check-ins and check-outs for anxiety and hunger/fullness

    • Intention setting

    • Casual conversation and table games

    • Community support

This “BYO” lunch meeting will meet weekly and requires a minimum of 4 participants. The group is $100 per month ($20-25 per session). To express your interest in joining, please contact Emily at emily@rdemily.com.
